The Historical Society of Topsail Island (HSTI) began in 1984. Our main goal is to collect and share our local past. Specifically, we focus on the history of the Greater Topsail area. First, we work to protect old buildings. Then, we share these stories with you. Join us today as we keep our past alive!
For over 40 years, the Historical Society of Topsail Island has done great work. In fact, we fixed up the Historic Assembly Building. This site is now the heart of our group. Furthermore, it is a great place for events and a museum. Consequently, we provide a hub for local culture. In addition, we offer many programs to keep our town connected.
The Historical Society of Topsail Island offers many services. Specifically, we host a monthly lunch and give out school awards. Additionally, we provide fun summer events for all ages. First, you can join us for the Summer Aquarium Program. Next, you can play a round at our Summer Bingo nights. Finally, we host the big Autumn With Topsail festival. Indeed, these events help us save our history.
Missiles and More Museum: Specifically, this museum is inside the Assembly Building. It tells the story of secret rockets on our beach. As a result, kids and adults can learn about our military past. Moreover, you can see shows about pirates and local life.
Topsail Island Events: Do you need a place for a party? In fact, we rent out the Historic Assembly Building. Therefore, you can host your big day in a site full of charm. Indeed, every rental helps the Historical Society of Topsail Island stay strong.
Specifically, you can help by visiting our sites. First, take a walking tour of Topsail Beach. Next, join us for a Ghost Walk or a ball. Finally, visit our site to become a member. Most importantly, your help saves the past for the kids of the future!
